One year for Christmas, my sister gave me two shadow box picture frames. I promptly put a photo of my grandkids in each of them and have enjoyed them on my walls ever since. The words on each say “Grandkids” making them perfect for showing off my favorite babies!
At a Glance Product Review
I love that these picture frames open easily like a regular picture frame and already contain fun embellishments like words and 3-D accents including scrapbook paper, 3-D flowers, and buttons.
Pros:
The shadow box picture frames I have came with a design built in. This made it easy to just remove the back, which is a cinch to do, by the way, and add a photo. I just reassembled it and hung it on the wall. It’s sturdy and well made.
The shadow box picture frame shown here lets you add a photo of your bundle of joy and their hospital bracelet for a memorable keepsake you can enjoy each day.
Cons:
The shadow box picture frames I have come with a design built in. (This is good and bad!) There wasn’t much room for personalization of the design unless I wanted to redo it.
Wish List:
I like it just as it is. If I want to buy a plain (empty) shadow box picture frame to decorate myself, I know I can buy those, too.
Longevity:
My picture frames are going strong after hanging on my walls for at least 5 years. I love them!
The Bottom Line:
For an inexpensive gift idea, a couple of these shadow boxes are ideal for wedding or birthday (and by birthday, I mean for a baby’s birth day) gifts. Well, for just about any occasion!
