Hoover Wind Tunnel Lite Vacuum Cleaner
I’ve had my Hoover Wind Tunnel vacuum cleaner for at least six years, and I’m happy to say it’s still going strong. I’m sure you’ve read vacuum cleaner reviews before, but I can safely say that this basic vacuum may be a no-frills model, but it gets the job done and is lightweight and easy to use.
The vacuum cleaner shown here is available on Amazon for a great price, just over $100. This is the model Hoover now makes and it’s a bagless vacuum. My sweeper is shown below and has a bag. But like I said, it’s more than six years old and styles change, but I imagine the performance is the same. Good and reliable.
When it was time for me to buy a new vacuum cleaner, I checked out several models. I am not the kind of person who vacuums the carpets or floors every day. I just don’t see the point. So, I knew I could get by with a basic sweeper that would do a good job but I also wanted a sweeper that I wouldn’t wear out in a year or two.
If you do like to vacuum and do it every day or even every other day like some people do who have lots of pets or are just neat freaks (I’m a freak, just not a neat freak), then a more heavy duty, super duper model might be a better option for you. My vacuum has 12 amps and is powerful enough for my needs.
This upright vacuum sweeper can be used easily by just about anyone. It glides across carpet easily and I used to use it on my laminate floors on the lowest setting (closest to the floor). It does a good job of gobbling up the dust and dirt.
The removable hose with attachments can be used to get in cracks and crevices like sliding door tracks or window sills or stairs. It’s lightweight enough to lift as needed to carry it upstairs, for example. The new model shown above has a hose that can reach 14 feet. I’d like that feature for getting to the tops of drapes and in corners of the room without having to be an acrobat or get the step ladder out.
This is not a top-of-the-line vacuum cleaner, so if that’s what you’re looking for, move along and check out some other models. Otherwise, I don’t really have any complaints with my Hoover vacuum cleaner. It’s not the most solid sweeper out there, but it’s held up well over time.
The Bottom Line
For an economical basic vacuum, a Hoover Wind Tunnel is a great way to go. My sweeper has been long lasting and continues to work well through the years.
